I hide my body from the world,
not because I lack beauty,
but because it is that beauty that is not for show.

I cover myself
so that you may know me for who I am
and what it is I stand for.

It’s been said that it is because I cover
I will not find someone
to spend the rest of my life with

I disagree.
Allah (swt) has commanded this of me,
and of every Muslim that walks this earth.

I would not want someone who doesn’t love
Islam the way I do,
and if that person does love Islam -

then he’ll love that I adorn Hijab.
It is for the sake of piety
that is considered the best reason to want to marry someone
